Kabuki Kadillac Bar

The Kabuki Strength Kadillac Bar is manufactured in Ohio by Rogue Fitness and now comes standard with knurled handles and a Bright Zinc finish. Customers can also choose to upgrade to our Proprietary Matte Black sleeve finish, which uses a process that effectively transforms the surface of the steel rather than coating it, greatly increasing the sleeves’ long-term corrosion resistance and color endurance (this upgrade comes with black mounting hardware).

Cambered to the same angle as Kabuki’s Duffalo Bar, the Kadillac Bar is a specialty neutral grip / football bar that enables a full range of motion, with convenient rackability on any standard power rack (40.5” to 52.5”). The bar includes 1.33” diameter handles spaced 15.3”, 22.3”, and 29.2” apart, with 10°, 12.5°, and 15° grip angles. The variability of handle placement and angles offers countless variations in exercises and progressions, and also promotes optimal, stacked joint position and improved movement mechanics.

Athletes can utilize the Kadillac Bar in both standard and reverse grip positions, and the precision-machined, zinc-plated sleeves (with 16.7” loadable length) enable the use of regular barbell collars. The sleeves are also removable, reducing the overall shipping cost. A 9/16” wrench and 7/32” hex key are included for easy assembly.

While the Kadillac Bar is primarily a bench press / neutral grip football barbell, it can also be used for curls, skull crushers, rows, lat pull-downs, and more.

*Please Note: The optional Proprietary Matte Black metal treatment process also hardens the steel, which can cause some additional friction with plates that have a chamfer.

Key Features of the Kadillac Bar

Multiple Knurled Handles
1

Multiple Knurled Handles

Now manufactured by Rogue Fitness, the new Kadillac Bar includes a set of (6) 1.33” diameter handles spaced at 15.3”, 22.3”, and 29.2” apart. Combined with the cambered design of the bar, this creates three different angles for hand positioning, at 10°, 12.5°, or 15°. Along with enabling more types of exercises and progressions, this variation in grip options also promotes optimal, stacked joint position and improved movement mechanics for athletes of any size or experience level.

Beneficial Cambered Design
2

Beneficial Cambered Design

The 1/4” laser-cut frame of the Kadillac Bar is cambered or angled in the same manner as the Kabuki Duffalo Bar, and similarly can help reduce stress on the shoulders, biceps, and back, while enabling scapular retraction and superior joint centration. In the form of a multi-grip bar, the camber also improves stability and opens up a greater range of motion when the athletes uses the outer handles for exercises like the bench or rows.

Two Sleeve Finish Options

Two Sleeve Finish Options

The precision-machined sleeves of the Kadillac Bar are available in your choice of either our Bright Zinc finish or our premium Proprietary Matte Black finish. The PMB option utilizes a process that effectively transforms the surface of the steel rather than coating it, greatly increasing the sleeves’ long-term corrosion resistance and color endurance. Black hardware is included with the Matte Black sleeves for mounting to the frame. Please Note: The Proprietary Matte Black metal treatment process also hardens the steel, which can cause some additional friction with plates that have a chamfer.

Black finish
Great bar! Definitely helps shoulders. I ordered the matte black finish but when I slide my plate on it scratches the finish instantly. Not worth the extra money for matte black finish.

Thank you for the feedback on your Kabuki Kadillac Bar! What you are seeing are not scratches, and can be wiped off with a rag.

Amazing Product!
This is a fantastic product. Anyone that lifts hard enough, heavy enough, and long enough will develop some kind of injury history. It's just a given, if you push yourself hard enough for long enough. With that being said, I have some shoulder discomfort after a heavy bench press workout. I have pushed through for years and just considered it "normal soreness". I ran across this bar though recently, and after a ton of research decided to buy. All I can say it that I wish I would have gotten this bar years ago. The pump I get from using this bar is crazy, and it helps basically alleviate the majority of shoulder discomfort during/after a bench workout. The pump is probably due to the increased range of motion from the curvature of the bar, allowing you to lower your hands further on the eccentric phase of the lift than you could with a traditional straight bar, and the more natural hand angle change helps with the shoulder issues. I could write another paragraph about how much I like this bar, but instead I will leave you with this final thought. Buy this bar. Even if you don't have shoulder issues, you should still buy this bar. It's a great alternative to straight bar bench, and again, with the added range of motion and change in hand angle to a more natural position, it's great for muscular hypertrophy as well as strength. Hope this review helps anyone that was on the fence about this purchase.

Excellent bar very well bult!!!
Took longer than expected t ship but it was worth the wait!! Great for Bench Presses as the hand angle takes the shoulder out of the movement.

Best investment in my lifting future!
Great buy. Knurling feels divine. Grip angles are perfect and I use all three sets for flat, incline, and decline press, hammer curl, and close grip bench. In fact I only use a flat bar for shrugs, deadlift, and landmine work now. This bar - and setting appropriate stops on my monster spotter arms, have completely alleviated my shoulder pain. Oh yeah that plus 15 min gentle band shoulder warmup / rehab, & cutting out overhead movements. I LOVE to press again and find myself looking fwd to it thanks to the Kadillac bar. Absolutely worth the money. Two things: 1) the end caps are loose and the sleeves are hollow and it RATTLES LOUDLY AND ECHOES…but I’ve grown to like this feature lol (sent Rogue a video, they said it was “within spec”); and b) order it here from rogue and not directly from kabuki…kabukis roboemails and hard press from sales reps was intolerable.

Love this bar!
I bought this bar a little while ago and it’s a great addition for my space! Love all of the different exercises I can do with it without putting my shoulder replacement in a precarious position. Quality is amazing and love the bar with the PMB sleeves! Seen people complain about the loudness of the sleeves but I think they are nitpicking with all that! Def purchasing more Kabuki x Rogue bars in the future!

Great bar, terrible sleeves
As others have said, the ribbed sleeves cause a screeching noise as you move plates on and off. The noise is bad enough, but the real frustration is that it is scraping the black corrosion resistant coating off the insides of my plates. So now I’m going to be fighting rust on my plates because of damage done by this expensive bar. Otherwise, I love it. Tremendous improvement in terms of stress on my shoulder impingement. Much better focus on chest and triceps than I get from a standard bar. Excellent knurling. Glad I got it, but I really wish they offered this with smooth sleeves. Two stars off may seem harsh for the sleeve problem, but a bar this expensive shouldn’t damage my other expensive equipment.

Great for a few variations
Sleeve: PMB I bought this back in November and it has been a game changer to add some variation. So much less stress on shoulders. The new sleeve finish is tight so I don't even have to use collars. Probably not great if you are changing weight quickly but I don't need to do this often. The tool also came with a cool bottle opener.

Game changer. No more shoulder / wrist issues
I’ve benched pressed my whole life with nagging shoulder and wrist issues. Recently, my shoulder gave out after experiencing a sharp pain that felt like I was stung by a bee. The pain was sharp and sudden and the bar dropped to my chest. Thankfully, I have a set of spotter arms because I know my issues can flare up suddenly and with no warning. I noticed the Kadillac Bar recently, and asked myself why the heck I am still putting up with these issues. I needed to do something once and for all! The bar lets me push myself without wrist or shoulder pain. Now that I have the Kadillac bar, I realize that I was always afraid of my injuries and never pushed myself on the bench press. Now I’m pressing with confidence.
